What is a trunk show?

One common question we get from new brides is “what is a trunk show” and what all does it include. It’s an easy question to answer and so we decided to write a blog to share now and in the future on trunk shows that Epiphany will have for years to come.

What is a trunk show?

A trunk show (also known as a pop-up) is when a bridal store (or any boutique really) showcases a selection of items for only a short amount of time. The selection for a bridal store, for example, can be from a certain designer. For our case, it would be Blue by Enzoani, Justin Alexander, Badgley Mischka, and more. One store will have the collection for about a week or two, and then nicely pack them into a box and send them to the next qualified bridal boutique.

Now, when it comes to trunk shows, here are a f tips!

  1. The bridal store more than likely does not/will not carry those dresses again. Although some shops might have a dress or two from the trunk show collection, they are only hosted at one bridal shop for a certain time. Once they are gone, you cannot try them on again. You can still order the dress though.

  2. The bridal collection that are for trunk shows are usually a certain collection such as the favorites, most popular, and a unique collection shown usually at trunk shows (pop ups).

  3. You can still customize the dress to an extent. Such as adding lace if desired, adding sleeves, etc. You can still make adjustments to the dress as you please to ensure it is the perfect dress you have dreamed of.

  4. If you find a dress you LOVE and know that it is the one, say YES! If you leave to think about it, you might not be able to come back and try it on again, for the dresses might be gone already to the next location.

  5. Lastly, you are still welcome to try on other dresses when you arrive for your appointment. You can try on any dress in the store as well. However, if you make an appointment for the trunk show only, make sure you tell your dress consultant that you are here for trunk show only.

Thank you for reading! Here at Epiphany, we have many trunk shows every year for the brands we love and trust. If you have any questions about the trunk shows coming up and more questions about what to expect, we would be happy to chat with you! Just reach out to us here
