Wedding Dress Shopping During The Covid Crisis

Times are changing on what seems a daily basis. Many of us have spent the last few months staying home and sheltering in place. As we are now just a few days away from June 2020, some states are opening their businesses and others are slowly lessening restrictions.
We know that many of our brides and their families have been asking us when we will be opening. What are our new policies? What expectations will there be - both ours as a business and our brides as customers.
As of May 21, 2020 we are thrilled to announce that our San Luis Obispo, CA boutique is open again for appointments! Our Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA location is still closed and waiting for our county to give us the green light to open.
What can our brides and their family and friends expect in this new era of bridal shopping?
Our goal is and always has been is to make bridal dreams come true and create experiences for our brides that will become lifetime memories. None of that will ever change. In order to move forward safely and follow state/county mandates required to open, we will be making some changes to our processes. Let’s talk about these new modifications that we’ll be bringing to Epiphany!
The most exciting news is that we now have a large TV screen available to our brides! Because we will have appointments with less guests in store, we are thrilled that our brides can also share the moments with their family and friends via Zoom or FaceTime! One thing we have all had TONS of experience with during this shut down is virtual meetings. So let’s continue the trend and bring it to the bridal shopping experience.
Now to the nuts and bolts of rules that are mandated by our counties.
Appointments will be spaced out, allowing more time between each bride to clean and sanitize our stores. Surfaces will be wiped down and all our trash will be emptied before the next bride arrives.
All gowns tried on during an appointment will be moved to a separate area to be steamed and sanitized before we put them back on our floor
Staff and all customers must wear protective masks while in the store, following county guidelines. We ask that each guest provide their own mask.
Hand sanitizer will be provided for all guests to use as they enter our stores.
Public restrooms are available for our guests that are maintained and cleaned regularly.
Appointments will be limited to 3 people per appointment slot - Bride + 2 guests. No exceptions to this. Any additional people will be asked to stay outside the store and there will be no “rotating” of people during the appointment slot.
Any additional guidelines that are required will be adhered to as they become known to us. Our goal is to provide a safe and healthy environment during these unprecedented times.
Happiness, love and joy will ALWAYS be our wish for you, our bride! When we all look back on these days, we want you to remember only the best memories!
