Summer is in the air! My thoughts turn to summer vacations as soon as ski season is over – our last trip was this past week! We’ve started to plan out the summer – where to go, what to do. Naturally, my next focus is What to Wear?

I love traveling. Quick overnighters or extended family vacations, business trips, they are fun, relaxing and rejuvenating. Because I do travel frequently, both for business and pleasure, I have organized some of my travel items so that they are always ready to go.
In today’s travel world, the challenge is to bring everything you want and need and yet fit it all into smaller and smaller suitcases and bags. I’ve found a few items that don’t take up much space, but definitely add to the comfort of my travels.
#1 on my list is always: candles! Never leave home without them. I love the way they cozy up up a hotel room and add a warm ambience. These hand poured soy candles come in lightweight covered tins and burn for over 14 hours.
Nobody has ever accused me of traveling lightly, clothes-wise! I have learned that by reusing some of my basics, I can save that extra room for some fun clothing pieces.
SOAK is an amazing pr0duct that I discovered a couple of years ago and now even carry in my purse. It’s a quick, safe and organic way of handwashing your delicates and anything that needs a quick refresh. Just soak the garment(s) in the SOAK , squeeze out excess water and line dry. No need to rinse. It leaves no residue, removes stains and clothes smell fresh.

Delicate bras and panties should not be strewn around your travel bags. These bra and panty bags are a stylish way of packing your undergarments. Inside, there are two seperate compartments, one for clean and one for not so clean.

A well stocked and packed hanging tolietry bag. Once you have it together, traveling and packing is a breeze. Fill it with all those little items you already have, bandaids, cotton balls and swabs, wipes, pain pills, mini tube of toothpaste,etc. Add in those 3 oz. bottles that you just filled.No more running into the bathroom and throwing things into a ziploc bag! And when you arrive at your destination, hang it up and everything you need it at your fingertips. You’ll also save money. How many times have you forgotten something and then had to pay resort prices to purchase it?
Traveling should be fun, not stressful. Once you have your travel items organized, you’ll be ready to enjoy even unexpected trips and excursions.
